The Aslib IT
& Communications Special Interest Group brings together
information professionals with an interest in the use of
IT. Group members come from all sectors, both within the
UK and overseas. The Group supports a wide network of members
with a diverse range of skills and experience at all levels
within the information industry.
IT is all-pervasive
and rapidly changing. The Group creates an environment where
networking opportunities and focused briefings help members
keep up-to-date. Our aim is to unite information professionals
at every stage and act as a catalyst for the enhancement
of individual skills and the dissemination of professional
knowledge, utilising the diversity of the expertise of members.
News and Events:
The Group arranges a number of events during the year, which
have included visits to the Royal National Institute for
the Blind Research Library and Microsoft Research Laboratories,
both of which were so successful we ran them twice. Details
